Yes. The main applicant and each dependent must provide a medical certificate confirming good health. There is no set form for the medical report, it only needs to be signed by a qualified doctor, and no blood test is required.

Parents, the spouse, and children under 25 who are dependent on the main applicant can be included.

Yes. Citizenship can be passed to future generations by descent, though this is not automatic and conditions apply.

The program grants successful applicants an "Honorary Citizenship" with full Ni-Vanuatu rights, meaning the same rights but without voting rights or political involvement.

The Vanuatu passport offers visa-free or visa-on-arrival travel to over 100 countries across Asia, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East, Oceania, and the Caribbean.

Vanuatu has no personal income or corporate tax, no withholding or capital gains tax, and no estate, wealth, or gift tax. A locally applied VAT of 12.5 percent applies, and citizens can change their name, get a driving license and local address, register a company, and more.

The process starts with a due diligence check by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), which usually issues a clearance certificate in 2 to 3 weeks. After clearance, the rest of the file is submitted with the donation amount for final approval, which usually takes about a month, mostly reserved for the Central Bank of Vanuatu to clear the funds. Once the funds clear, the file goes to the next Citizenship Committee meeting, which sits every two weeks, and the letter of approval, naturalisation certificate, and passports are issued after that meeting. Passports are usually issued about three weeks after final approval.

Altogether it takes 2 to 3 months from submission to passport handover, though this may vary with the complexity of the case.

The due diligence check is a government background check that confirms there is no derogatory information on the applicant and that the applicant is not a politically exposed person.

The applicant must make an initial non-refundable due diligence payment of USD 5,000 for checks by the Government Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) to obtain Due Diligence Clearance.

The due diligence fee must be paid before submitting the application.

Once Due Diligence Clearance is granted by the FIU, the applicant must pay the donation to obtain final approval.

If the application is denied, the entire donation amount is refunded. Other fees are non-refundable.

The program accepts AUD, USD, and EUR. Cryptocurrencies may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, which should be confirmed with your contact person at HLG.

No. After the donation is made and the application submitted, the Citizenship Commission issues a final approval, and the applicant can either attend a ceremony in Vanuatu to take their oath or request an online ceremony with a Vanuatu passport officer, in which case the passport is mailed to their designated address.
